U Aye Chan (UAC) is a lifelong learner, educator, media leader, and public servant who believes that real change begins with honest leadership and informed people.
Born and raised in Yangon, UAC’s journey took him from a modest upbringing to international education and professional success in Singapore, the United Kingdom, and China. A Chartered Accountant by training, he later earned his MBA from Nanyang Technological University and continued his pursuit of knowledge as a Dongfang Scholar at Peking University. Despite global opportunities, his commitment has always remained firmly rooted in Myanmar.
Over the years, UAC has served the nation through multiple roles—as an educator teaching finance to young minds, a media professional countering misinformation, a columnist and national TV commentator on economic and global affairs, and a contributor to Myanmar’s digital and e-commerce development, including key laws and regulations. He has represented Myanmar at international forums, including the United Nations, and has led national institutions such as the Myanmar Media Council.
After working closely with government institutions and witnessing the challenges faced by everyday citizens, UAC has taken a decisive step forward. In the 2025 elections, he is standing as a candidate for Union Member of Parliament in the Lower House, representing Hlaing Thar Yar Township.
His goal is simple and sincere: to listen, to connect, and to serve—with integrity, competence, and a deep belief in Myanmar’s future.
